Leadership
About Us
Uniform Comes Off, but Service Continues
Volunteer leaders committed to serving veterans, strengthening community, and advancing our mission.
Committee leaders are volunteers who give their time, experience, and energy to strengthen our Post and support veterans, families, and the community we serve. Often working behind the scenes, they help guide programs, steward resources, and fosters a welcoming, mission-driven organization.
Their commitment to service, advocacy, and community helps ensure that our work continues to make a meaningful impact today and for future generations.
Executive Committee and Other Committees
American Legion Post 32 is guided by an elected Executive Committee, supported by members who serve on various committees that help carry out the mission of the Post.
Together, these volunteer leaders:
Provide direction and oversight
Support programs and community initiatives
Help ensure responsible stewardship of resources
Strengthen engagement across the Post and Legion Family
Though our Post is powered by volunteerism and guided by an elected Executive Committee, an Operations Manager provides day-to-day leadership and coordination to support the Post's programs, events, and continued growth.
Stephanie Colby was raised in Bellevue and has called Papillion home for the past 10 years. She is a Political Science student and serves as the Operations Manager for American Legion Post 32, where she oversees operations, public relations, community outreach, the Post's website and social media, fundraising, and charitable gaming. Inspired by a family legacy of military service, Stephanie is passionate about connecting veterans with the community and helping ensure Post 32 continues to grow and serve future generations.

Our Mission
Our Mission
Rooted in service, guided by purpose
American Legion Post 32 is a veteran service organization rooted in local support, advocacy, and community engagement in Papillion, La Vista, and Ralston.
We are a community of veterans and volunteers committed to continuing a legacy of service—supporting those who have served and strengthening the community around them.
Through the dedication of our members and supporters, Post 32 continues to make a meaningful impact bringing people together, honoring those who served, and strengthening our local community.
What We Do & Why It Matters
Through outreach, advocacy, and community involvement, Post 32 works to ensure veterans and their families are supported, connected, and recognized. From honoring service to building opportunities for future generations, our work reflects a continued commitment to service beyond the uniform.
Service doesn’t end when military duty does. Veterans and their families continue to need connection, support, and community. Post 32 exists to ensure that no veteran stands alone and that the values of service and sacrifice continue to shape the future.
