Veterans Legislative Day
Friday, January 30 2026. Warner Chamber, Nebraska State Capitol
Registration begins at 8AM Program starts at 830AM
Veterans and Legion Family members are encouraged to attends Veterans Legislative Day at the Nebraska State Capitol. This is a great opportunity to hear directly from state leaders and learn about legislation impacting veterans and their families.
You’re presence matters- stay informed, engaged, and connected.
Join us for a tropical night out featuring a live DJ, dancing, games, and free dinner from 7–9 PM. Stick around as the night heats up with our Lip Sync Contest from 9–11 PM, where contestants compete for a $100 cash prize.
This event blends island vibes with community spirit — food donations or monetary donations to the VA Pantry required for entry. Your support and attendance goes directly to helping local veterans.

The American Legion Buddy Check is a peer-to-peer effort to make sure veterans in our community are doing okay — physically, mentally, and socially. Through a simple phone call, message, or visit, Legionnaires and volunteers check in, offer connection, and help link veterans to resources when needed.
This is a volunteer driven effort. Whether you can make one call or many, Buddy Check is a meaningful way to look out for one another — just like we did in service.
